With the release of the iPhone in 2007 and the App Store following in 2008, Apple revolutionised the mobile marketplace. They continued on from there with the entry into the tablet market with the iPad in 2012, which also took advantage of the App Store. Now in 2013, there have been over one million applications created for the App Store and over 40 billion applications downloaded through the store. The stats show that the App Store is a great space for business’ to launch a product, when you enter the store you’re made available to over 500 million iOS devices!
